ADMIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all administrative tasks in the restaurant across all departments inclusive of the capturing of all invoices on the relevant point of sale system

Subsequent filing of all invoices after capturing.

Responsible for employee administration such as signing of warnings, capturing of leave requests, signing of contracts, signing of policies, signing of AOD’s, completion of employee training evaluation forms.

Capturing of employee monthly hours worked on payroll sheet to be submitted to the Operator for signoff.

Loading and removal of new & old employees on ZKTeco clock in software.

FINANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Invoicing: Compilation of Payment schedules as well as capturing of all invoices on the POS system

Cashups: Facilitating waiter cash ups daily and compilation of waiter commission sheet.

Compilation of weekly waiter tip payment file with calculations & deductions to be submitted to Operator for signoff.

STOCK CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Variances: General manager to check and verify stock orders and stock takes and where applicable address any variances (if applicable)

Liqour Orders: Replenishing stock in the bar area (if applicable) with assistance and under the guidance of the Operator.

Responsible for all stock orders back and front of house with assistance and under the guidance of the Operator.

Devise an action plan to curb high food costs and eliminate variances where necessary.

Ensure that stock shortages are accounted for and/or kept to an absolute minimum.

Investigate stock shortages and where applicable, take the necessary disciplinary action.

Ensure that store wastage is kept at an absolute minimum.

Compilation of store PAR levels and/or model stock.

Input of monthly stocktake data onto PILOT POS

Input of daily prep sheet counts onto PILOT POS

ROSTERS AND SCHEDULING:

Planning and coordination of weekly shift roster for entire BOH & FOH.

Implementation of Weekly roster and shift scheduling for the entire FOH & BOH to ensure that the shop is optimally staffed at any point in time. The GM is responsible for the compilation of the shift roster which is signed off by the Operator on a weekly basis.

CUSTOMER INTERACTIONS:

Customer Satisfaction: Conduct regular floor walks and interact with customers as much as possible.

Deal directly with customer complaints and queries.

RESTAURANT OPERATIONS:

Ensure that the restaurant is always running optimally through BOH & FOH coordination.

Ensure daily check sheets have been completed per section and where necessary, gaps are addressed immediately.

ADHOC – Assist with ordinary restaurant activities such as taking and placing of orders, placing and dispatching UBER EATS and MRD orders, attending to tables and removing of dirty cutlery and crockery, seating of customers etc.

Be able to assist in ALL sections of the restaurant when operationally required to do so.

PILOT: Facilitate all table transfers and requisite sign off

PILOT: Authorise discounts and voids

Conduct opening and closing procedures daily by opening and closing the restaurant by means of completing the relevant checksheets via JotForm / App

Ensure that all equipment is in working condition and that where necessary, maintenance requirements are reported to the Operator in writing.

TRAINING AND EVALUATION:

Ensure that all new employees are trained and monitored within their respective sections.

Ensure that new employees are evaluated by means of the employee evaluation JotForm and that such employees are sign off before commencing to full time employment

Compilation of employee induction plans for signoff with Operator

Ensure that all new employees are sufficiently trained and signed off before commencing full time employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R20 000,00 - R22 000,00 per month
