Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities

Summary of Role
As an intermediate data analyst at Anthesis, you will be a key member of the Data team, support the running of our Carbon Emission models that generate carbon credits for our nature based carbon offset projects. You will play a crucial role in supporting our data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with cross functional team of experienced analysts and data scientists to gather, process, analyse, and visualize data to provide actionable insights. This position is ideal for a self-starter with a passion for data and a desire to grow their skills in various aspects of data analysis and reporting. Key Responsibilities
Data Processing and Analysis:

• Lead the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of data from various sources to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis to identify complex trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.

Data Modelling:

• Take a leading role in running and optimizing Models.
• Enhance the accuracy and efficiency of model outputs through advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
• Develop and implement sophisticated models that significantly contribute to business intelligence.
• Generate actionable insights and conduct in-depth analysis on provided data.
• Demonstrate expertise in cloud fundamentals, applications, and the management of data pipelines and analytics.

Reporting and Visualization:

• Summarize results and perform comprehensive quality checks on complex analyses.
• Utilize advanced BI tools (such as Power BI/Excel) for intricate statistical analysis and ad hoc reporting as required.
• Create sophisticated data visualizations, charts, and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Take charge of the development of regular reports and presentations for various departments within the organization.

Collaborative Projects:

• Lead cross-functional teams in addressing complex business challenges using advanced data analysis and insights.
• Drive group discussions and brainstorming sessions to enhance analytical approaches and problem-solving techniques.
• Play a significant role in generating case studies, white papers, and presentations.
• Provide substantial support in technical writing and editing as required.

Quality Assurance:

• Spearhead data quality checks to ensure the highest standards of data integrity and consistency throughout the analysis process.
• Propose and implement improvements to data collection and storage processes to elevate data quality.
• Take a leading role in monitoring the quality of data received from farming clients.

Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise

Key Requirements

• Education: Scientific degree or equivalent (BSc, BSc Eng, Computer Science etc..)
• 3-6 years of experience in data analysis, data processing, modelling, or data science, with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Advanced proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages.
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and of machine learning algorithms.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail. Substantial experience with data cleaning and processing
