Purpose of the Job

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cost optimization within the Shoprite Supply Chain. A a Supply Chain Cost Optimizer, you will be a key player in the implementation and managment of the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) model.


Job Objectives
  • Learning and understanding the ABC model.
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets in an organized and clea manner.
  • Efficiently load and update information in to the ABC model, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data for cost allocation.
  • Continuously optimize the ABC model by analyzing key activities and processes that drive costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Work closely with the various distribution centre teams to gather relevent data inputs and ensure alignment with departmental activites and cost drivers.
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards and refresh reports.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

Experience

Atleast 2 years within a Supplychain/FMCG environment

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in speadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) for data analaysis and reporting.
  • Good communication sklls with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
