Position Summary:

Our Client (Vehicle manufacturing) is seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our elite team of craftsmen. The Sheet Metal Worker will play a pivotal role in the production of our world-class cars, working with precision and attention to detail to fabricate, shape, and assemble sheet metal components that meet our exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sheet Metal Fabrication: Fabricate sheet metal components using various cutting, bending, and shaping techniques, ensuring accuracy and precision in accordance with engineering blueprints and specifications.

• Welding and Joining: Expertly weld and join metal pieces to create assemblies and structures, employing appropriate welding methods to maintain structural integrity and quality.

• Assembly: Assemble sheet metal components into vehicle structures, body panels, and related parts, ensuring proper fit and alignment to meet design specifications.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of fabricated components and assemblies, identifying and rectifying any defects or imperfections to uphold quality standards.

• Material Handling: Safely handle and store sheet metal materials, including cutting, measuring, and shaping them as required for production.

• Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment, and machinery used in sheet metal work to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and secure working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to resolve technical issues, provide input on design improvements, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

• Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress, assisting in maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Certification in welding and sheet metal work is a plus.

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker in an automotive manufacturing or similar setting.

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, and welding.

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Knowledge of various welding methods and equipment.

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Safety-conscious with knowledge of workplace safety regulations.

• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the role.
