Warehouse Controller

We are looking for Warehouse Controller that will ensure goods go through efficient Binning and Packaging process before they get to Customers and Stores.

Your role:

• Ensure effective, accurate and timeous binning of goods
• Ensure effective, accurate and timeous packing of goods
• Performing Incoming and Outgoing goods quality inspections
• Ensure effective receiving and capturing of incoming goods
• Ensure effective and accurate stock movement when required
• Ensure that bin locations are maintained in accordance with the required stores standards
• Ensure that ESD process is followed when handling and binning materials, also ensure that items are stored in correct storage areas
• Ensure that new items have bin cards, and existing stock has updated bin cards
• Ensure that shortage clearances are conducted timeous and on daily basis
• Inventory Management – Ensure efficient packing, handling and storing of goods
• Inventory System Maintenance – Correct management of the inventory system
• To kit goods as per Kit / Picking lists
• Ensure that all kitted items are of the good quality standard
• Ensure that correct quantities are picked in accordance with the pick list
• Loading of Goods – Ensure that all goods are loaded and offloaded in a safe manner and that all paper work corresponds with the delivery specifications
• Ensure that efficient packing, handling and storage of goods as per specifications
• Ensure all components, items / equipment is delivered and are accurately received
• Accurate and timeous handling of unplanned material requisitions requests
• Raising MRB when non-conforming parts are discovered and following up with the MRB process
• Ensure that 5’s is maintained in the work environment
• Ensure maximum utilization of storage space, adhering to quality and safety standards
• Perform all shipping and warehousing related transactions in IFS System
• Carry out all legal instructions from your line management as all duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above
• Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions, under the auspices of SGD QM, on goods received, dispatched and produced in Cape Town

Your profile

A packer will be assigned to a specific area, retrieve the items needed from the inventory, check that they are in good condition, wrap them securely, and pack them for shipping.

Binning of goods from Transit (Manufacturing / Test Departments / Capricorn Park) and Incoming Quality Inspection to ensure that they are readily available for SRU’s and LRU’s picking.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years in packing, shipping or warehousing experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing and repair processes and supply chain management
• Knowledge of packing and shipping process
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision
• Previous warehousing, receiving or dispatch experience
• Good communication and Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Planning, Organizing and Quality Orientation

Qualification:

• Certificate or similar qualification in Supply Chain, Warehouse or Inventory Management
