Group Managing Director position available in Somerset West.

A very well-established national manufacturing company is looking for a ‘’Group Managing Director’’
to join their team on a full-time permanent basis at their premises in the Helderberg Area, CT.

We are looking for a Group Managing Director to supervise and control all strategic and business
aspects of the company.

The goal is to drive the company’s development and guide it towards long-term success.

The ideal candidate will have a business mindset, will be able to see the “big picture” in a variety of settings and take actions to enhance the company’s financial performance while keeping the human factor in perspective.

Salary: R135 000 per month, negotiable.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Formulating and implementing the strategic plan of the organisation.
  • Overseeing all operational, marketing and sales functions of the organisation.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the success of the organisation.
  • Making high-quality investment decisions.
  • Enforcing adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies.
  • Reviewing financial and non-financial reports.
  • Building trust relations with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining awareness of the competitive market landscape.
  • Ensuring that the organisation maintains high social responsibility wherever it does business.
  • Assess, monitor, and minimize risks to the organisation.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven experience as General Manager or Managing Director.
  • Experience in developing profitable strategies.
  • Strong understanding of operational excellence, corporate finance, and performance
    management principles.
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
  • Engineering qualification and qualification in business administration will be beneficial.
